- Minerals and rocks: The whole surface of the Earth is made up of rocks, which in turn are made up of minerals. There are many types of minerals and rocks. Let´s look at their characteristics!
- Minerals: are inorganic natural substances. To distinguish one type from another, we must look at their properties.
- Structure (regular or irregular)
- Lustre (metallic or silky)
- Hardness ( hard or soft)
- Colour
- Rocks: are inorganic natural substances. They are normally composed of more than one mineral.There are three types depending on how they were formed: sedimentary rocks, igneous rocks and metamorphic rocks.
